After finishing dinner, Shao Cixin and Wen Zhihan returned home to “have” dessert.

A trail of clothing and jewelry snaked from the front door to the bedroom.

From time to time, a few gentle laughs could be heard coming from inside the house.

Shao Cixin sat on Wen Zhihan’s lap.

She held Wen Zhihan’s head between her hands as she silently traced her features with her eyes. Wen Zhihan’s jewel-like blue eyes were filled with bright light, and her long, smooth hair fell gently between Shao Cixin’s fingers, like a flowing stream.

A peach-like halo spread on her cold white skin, shallow and faint but extremely captivating.

“You’re so beautiful,” Shao Cixin couldn’t help but praise, tracing Wen Zhihan’s lips. “My Mrs. Shao is the most beautiful person in the world.”

Wen Zhihan kissed Shao Cixin’s fingertips. She exhaled.

Her warm breath swept over Shao Cixin’s long, slender fingers like an invisible fairy.

She asked teasingly, “Isn’t the most beautiful person in the world our big celebrity?”

She seemed to remember that the person above her liked to praise herself this way.

The beautiful star arched her eyebrows. “I am the judge. Judges are disqualified from selection. Since this judge thinks you are the prettiest, she will give you ten points, all ten points!”

She said in high spirits, “I hereby declare Mrs. Shao the uncontested winner of this beauty pageant!”

Wen Zhihan couldn’t help but laugh, her shoulders shaking slightly.

What a blatant conspiracy.

She raised her head and kissed Shao Cixin’s chin and lips, a deep look of affection on her face.

Such a cute judge.

Shao Cixin responded happily.

She put her arms around Wen Zhihan’s neck and said, “Since you have won the Mrs. Shao Beauty Pageant Championship, the organizing committee must give you an award. Is there anything you want?”

Wen Zhihan didn’t expect this impromptu beauty pageant to be so decent. The organizing committee even planned on awarding prizes.

But when she took the question seriously, she couldn’t think of anything she wanted.

There was nothing Wen Zhihan lacked now.

What she once wanted most was sitting in her arms, hers at last.

“Tell me,” Shao Cixin urged.

“Judge, I don’t want for anything.”

“Ai-ya, you think about it more. Think about it seriously.”

“…I want the judge?”

“Don’t talk about what you already have. Find something else.”

Wen Zhihan stared into Shao Cixin’s peach-blossom eyes, seeing a trace of anticipation.

Her brain finally connected the dots. She understood what Shao Cixin was trying to do.

She put her hands around Shao Cixin’s waist and brought her closer. Then she looked at her with gentle eyebrows. “Cixin, are you thinking of what to get me for my birthday?”

Shao Cixin was taken aback. She covered her lips in surprise, “Am I that obvious?”

Wen Zhihan nodded.

Shao Cixin punched her palm in frustration. “Damn it, I’ve messed up. Now there’s no surprise!”

In the blink of an eye, Wen Zhihan’s birthday was just around the corner. But Shao Cixin hadn’t decided what to get her yet.

She felt like jewelry was not fresh enough, and Wen Zhihan was not short in this department.

She could gift Wen Zhihan a custom-made present, but she already did so last year, and it was too boring to use the same trick twice.

Shao Cixin wanted to get Wen Zhihan something else, but she couldn’t think of what to do.

Mainly because Wen Zhihan didn’t lack for anything.

Mrs. Wen was going bald from this issue.

Now that Wen Zhihan had noticed it, she felt even more exposed.

She thought her excuse for the beauty pageant was pretty good…

But Wen Zhihan didn’t feel any less surprised.

Whether she knew about it or not, whether her birthday was plain or interesting, it didn’t matter as long as Shao Cixin celebrated her birthday with her.

As long as it was Shao Cixin, every birthday would be the greatest and most romantic birthday of her life.

To her, there was nothing more precious than having Shao Cixin by her side.

“What do you mean?” Wen Zhihan asked softly. “It’s the most pleasant surprise for me when Cixin remembers my birthday, when Cixin wants to celebrate my birthday, and when Cixin wants to give me a different birthday experience.”

“To me,” she concluded, “the best surprise is getting to know Cixin.”

Shao Cixin’s ears went soft after hearing these words.

Her Mrs. Shao was very good at talking.

How could someone be so eloquent and caring at the same time!

Wen Zhihan must be an angel sent from heaven!!

She couldn’t help but hug her wife, refusing to let go. She wanted to love Wen Zhihan as much and as completely as she could.

It was a pity that she missed Wen Zhihan in their previous life, but fortunately, she would never have the same regret in this life.

They belonged to each other forever.

“Our Han Han is really, really, really too good!” Shao Cixin said. “Don’t worry, there will definitely be a birthday surprise. From now on, with me here, there will never be another birthday without a romantic surprise!”

After making her passionate declaration, Shao Cixin lowered her head to kiss Wen Zhihan’s face. “My beautiful Mrs. Shao, all you need to do is have your birthday wishes ready, then receive your gifts.”

Wen Zhihan looked at Shao Cixin’s joyful and enthusiastic expression, happiness blooming in her heart.

Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow, they would be together for a lifetime, never to be separated again.

“Cixin, I would like to make a request.”

“Please do. Our President Wen can make any number of requests she wants!”

“I want to celebrate my birthday with just you this year.”

It wasn’t like she’d never hosted a grand party before. She’d experienced her fair share of celebrations with her beloved friends.

But she rarely celebrated her birthday with Shao Cixin. Besides last year, this was only the second time.

So this time, after confirming their feelings, she wanted to have a quiet and peaceful celebration with her beloved, undisturbed by the outside world.

She would never get tired of just the two of them.

Shao Cixin’s eyes glimmered with a smile. She stroked Wen Zhihan’s face, gently coaxing, “Okay, just the two of us.”

Wen Zhihan added, “Cixin, I also want to thank you for helping me realize my last year’s birthday wish.”

Shao Cixin blinked in confusion. “Huh?”

While She didn’t know what Wen Zhihan had wished for last year, she didn’t expect it to come true just like that?

Wen Zhihan took Shao Cixin’s fingers and rubbed them gently with her thumb. She didn’t take her eyes off Shao Cixin for even a second.

“I wished for you.”

—I wished for your heart, your person, your everything. And I want the qualification to stay by your side for a lifetime.

Wen Zhihan had been very greedy, but she was very happy that she got everything she wanted.

The heavens were indeed very kind to her.

Shao Cixin couldn’t help but lower her head to kiss Wen Zhihan on the lips.

“I am yours, all yours.”

No one could love Wen Zhihan more than her, and no one could love her more than Wen Zhihan.

They were a destined pairing, a match made in heaven, and they would never be separated again.

Shao Cixin was very grateful to have met Wen Zhihan and fallen in love with her.

This affectionate foreplay quietly blended into their intertwined breaths.

Heat rose in the atmosphere, like a prairie fire engulfing the silence in every corner.

Their distance continued to shrink, and their voices gradually changed in tone.

Shao Cixin’s eyes were as charming as silk, and she instinctively began to act coquettish towards her beloved. “Jiejie, you want me…”

Wen Zhihan liked the way Shao Cixin acted flirtatiously towards her.

Shao Cixin was sweet and charming, and sometimes also a little different and idiosyncratic. She was so cute that people couldn’t find any reason to reject her.

Especially when she was like this: captivating and belonging to Wen Zhihan alone.

After experiencing wind and rain, Shao Cixin was her rainbow.

Feeling aroused, Shao Cixin sat on Wen Zhihan’s lap and squirmed impatiently.

Seeing the smile in Wen Zhihan’s eyes, she acted even more shamelessly. “I’m already like this, so why aren’t you taking action?”

She raised an eyebrow. “Could it be that you don’t feel it?”

Wen Zhihan chuckled and shook her head. She brought her hands around Shao Cixin’s waist and embraced her.

It wasn’t that she didn’t feel it—it was just that she wanted to see Shao Cixin act so cute again.

She was right in front of her, sitting on her lap. How could Wen Zhihan not feel any changes?

The flowers in the bedroom began blooming requiring delicate and attentive care.

Like an elegant mimosa, it shyly gathered its branches and leaves at the touch of a finger. Then it blossomed and spread again, swallowing and spitting.

Wen Zhihan intimately understood its habits and temperament, giving it the best care every time. It responded to her actions with renewed vigor, dripping nectar onto the sheets.

The long night rolled on like waves.

Shao Cixin leaned on Wen Zhihan’s shoulders, breathing gently.

Sweat covered the back of her neck, a peach flush climbing up her cheeks. At this moment, she appeared more delicate than the flowers.

Not wanting it to end, she rose and found Wen Zhihan’s lips, kissing her as if she had finally found her destination after a long and tumultuous journey.

From body and mind to soul, they were in perfect harmony.

They knew better than anyone else how to please and occupy one other.

Time passed quietly, entangling them underneath a falling night, merging like water, gradually turning into a rippling spring pond.

Shao Cixin couldn’t control her thoughts of being intimate with Wen Zhihan.

After confirming their relationship, she was like a person who had finally found an oasis after going thirsty for several days and nights.

Wen Zhihan was her oasis.

She wouldn’t last without this wife to kiss, hug, and hold meetings with. And it would be even more unbearable if she had a wife, but she still couldn’t do any of those things.

As Wen Zhihan’s woman, she refused to say she couldn’t give it!

Wen Zhihan couldn’t help but feel that tonight’s Shao Cixin was clingier than a puppy.

But it didn’t matter. She liked it too.

On January 7th, Wen Zhihan’s birthday arrived.

Shao Cixin had prepared her surprise and was waiting for Wen Zhihan to get off work.

Everything was ready. She had ensured that Wen Zhihan would like this surprise very much!

Wen Zhihan was still working at Guanglan.

Thanks to Shao Cixin’s reminder, she remembered that today was her own birthday.

On days when Shao Cixin didn’t have work, she would sleepily wake up with Wen Zhihan and remember to embrace her before she left.

The morning of Wen Zhihan’s birthday, Shao Cixin was only half-conscious when she felt the person beside her shifting, but she still eagerly sat up to embrace her.

She said softly, “Happy Birthday, Mrs. Shao.”

Then she reminded, “Be safe on the road. I’ll wait for you at home. Let’s celebrate your birthday together tonight.”

When Wen Zhihan recalled the events of this morning, she felt warm in her heart.

Even though she was sitting in her office at Guanglan, she had something to look forward to back home. She liked this feeling very much, the satisfaction of having someone waiting for her with the lights on.

And she found the way Shao Cixin sleepily got up to say happy birthday to her too adorable.

How could there be such a lovely person in the world?

But in the midst of a busy day at work, Wen Zhihan quickly forgot about her birthday.

She only remembered that she had to go home to be with her wife at night.

Wen Zhihan was slow to return home.

There was an unexpected meeting, and she accidentally ended up working overtime.

When Shao Cixin realized that Wen Zhihan would be getting off work late, she said nothing.

It was just being late, what did it matter? As long as she came back, it was okay.

With this mentality, Shao Cixin began to prepare her last surprise.

She brought a box into their bedroom, taking out what was inside. Then she happily turned her back and began changing into a new set of clothes.

It was already past seven o’clock when Wen Zhihan arrived at the community parking lot.

A light snow fell from the sky, the passing breeze chilling people’s bones.

She turned to look at the person behind her, saying warmly, “Come up with me to retrieve what you need. It’s cold outside, so don’t stay downstairs.”

Guan Yan nodded and followed Wen Zhihan into the elevator.

She had arrived with Wen Zhihan to retrieve some documents at Wen Zhihan’s home, and she planned on leaving as soon as she was done.

After all, Lin Mumu was still waiting for Guan Yan at their home.

“Ding—”

The elevator doors slid open.

Wen Zhihan walked out of the elevator, Guan Yan respectfully not far after. Then Wen Zhihan approached her door, raising her hand to enter the password.

Guan Yan stood behind her, waiting on the side.

After Wen Zhihan opened her door, she found the house empty and uninhabited. The furniture and decorations hadn’t been changed. Everything was the same as it was this morning before Wen Zhihan left.

But Wen Zhihan didn’t give it much thought. She invited Guan Yan into the house and poured her a glass of warm water. “You sit here in the living room. I’ll get the documents in a minute.”

“Understood, President Wen.”

After occupying Guan Yan for the time being, Wen Zhihan traced her steps and walked upstairs in the direction of her bedroom. She remembered that she left the documents somewhere in her room yesterday.

She absentmindedly reached the closed door of the bedroom.

Not finding it strange, she raised her hand and turned the door handle downward.

Then, the door opened.

The first thing that jumped into Wen Zhihan’s eyes was the red balloons, arranged together to form the phrase “Happy Birthday!” in English.

When she turned her attention to the mattress, she saw that a big heart spread with rose petals had been drawn on the comforter.

A person was lying among the petals.

Her pale skin had been wrapped under sexy and thin red pajamas, like white snow dotted with crimson plums, gorgeous and delicate.

Her slender waist was tied with a satin bow, which seemed like it could be unwrapped with the touch of a hand.

Her long, wavy hair fell over her shoulders, drawing the viewer’s attention to her mouth, where she was lightly biting her fingertips, her beautiful eyes filled with autumn waves.

At this moment, she couldn’t be more sexy or alluring.

When their gazes met, Wen Zhihan reacted almost on instinct, slamming the door shut with her backhand.

Seeing this, Shao Cixin slowly pulled up her long hair, a charming smile spreading across her face. “You’re back.”

Then she took out her phone from under the pillow and pressed the screen with her finger—

The speakers in the room began playing sexy and sultry music.

The volume grew, the tone becoming increasingly ambiguous, as if a hand was probing into people’s deepest desires, seducing and teasing, not willing to give up until its goal had been achieved.

Wen Zhihan was forced to admit that Shao Cixin’s appearance and the current situation were all very enchanting, but…

Shao Cixin’s smile widened when she saw Wen Zhihan walking toward her so quickly.

Sure enough, Wen Zhihan couldn’t resist her charm—tonight was destined to be a sleepless night for them both!

Shao Cixin maintained her current sensual persona. She smiled and stretched out her arms, prepared to receive her wife’s passionate kiss.

Then Wen Zhihan held her wrist and pressed her down.

Shao Cixin: “?”

Wen Zhihan took the blanket and covered her with it.

Shao Cixin: “Huh…?”

Wen Zhihan quickly turned off the extremely ambiguous music.

Shao Cixin: “Hey, hey!”

Wen Zhihan tucked in the corners of the blanket and lowered her eyes to force herself to calm down.

—Remember, there were still people waiting downstairs.

She gazed at her innocent-looking wife under the blanket and asked, “Cixin, why are you playing music?”

Shao Cixin said matter-of-factly, “I’m using some BGM to enhance the atmosphere!”

Wen Zhihan: “…”

As expected, it was something that only her family’s Cixin could come up with.

“Wen Zhihan, you…don’t like it?”

“It’s not that…”

“Then why did you turn it off?”

“Because there is someone downstairs.”

“?”

“Guan Yan came back with me to get some documents. She is in the living room right now.”

“…”

A sense of profound embarrassment washed over the two of them.

Shao Cixin’s toes began digging a hole underneath the blanket. She silently picked up her phone, wanting to preserve her own dignity and purify Guan Yan’s ears.

Two seconds later, Guan Yan, who was still sitting in the living room, heard a loud female voice sound from the master bedroom:

“The third set of the national primary school radio gymnastics, Colorful Sunshine, begins now—

“Get ready, go! One two three four five six seven eight, one two three four five six seven eight—”

Guan Yan: “…”

It was a playlist that she couldn’t understand.

The author (热到昏厥) has something to say:

Assistant Guan: Maybe I shouldn’t be here.
