Shao Cixin came out of the shower feeling refreshed and found Wen Zhihan standing in front of the window with her arms folded, looking unhappy. She didn’t even notice that Shao Cixin had left the bathroom.

The atmosphere was very still.

Shao Cixin gazed at Wen Zhihan without saying a word for two seconds, then walked over.

“Wen Zhihan.”

Wen Zhihan came to her senses in response to Shao Cixin’s voice. She turned to meet Shao Cixin’s gaze.

Shao Cixin, who was wearing light and comfortable pajamas, stopped in front of her and said bluntly, “You don’t look very happy. Who made you unhappy?”

Seeing the worry in Shao Cixin’s eyes, Wen Zhihan couldn’t help but feel the corner of her lips twitch. She formed a shallow smile, then said in a low timber, “En. I’m not happy.”

She looked at Shao Cixin with gentle eyes. “Can you make me happy, Cixin?”

She just wanted to see if Shao Cixin was willing to coax her.

And if Shao Cixin was willing, how she would coax her.

But, in reality, no matter what Shao Cixin did, as long as she was willing to make Wen Zhihan happy, Wen Zhihan would be happy.

Shao Cixin blinked.

In her experience, Wen Zhihan rarely made demands of Shao Cixin, and she was also rarely unhappy.

In the past, when Shao Cixin was unhappy, Wen Zhihan always stayed with her. Now it was time for Shao Cixin to do something in return.

So she smoothed her short-sleeved pajamas with a grin and said fiercely, “Who made my Mrs. Shao unhappy? Tell me, and I will deal with them!

“Anyone who offends my wife will be punished, no matter how far away they are!”

At first, Wen Zhihan was thinking about Wen Yu, and she was not very happy, but she felt much better when she saw Shao Cixin being so careless about her image.

Her adorable Cixin, even with her fierce expression, was extremely cute.

How could Wen Zhihan not like her?

She raised her hand and caressed the side of Shao Cixin’s face. The tenderness in her eyes was like the trickling stream flowing down mountains.

“What if this person was Wen Yu?”

Shao Cixin: “?”

How dare that scumbag make her family’s goddess unhappy?!

Wen Zhihan saw Shao Cixin make the gesture of drawing and sheathing a sword.

Like a ruthless killer, she said with a cold expression, “Okay, she’s dead[1].”

Wen Zhihan: “?”

Shao Cixin said, “She’s dead in my heart.”

Wen Zhihan said, “Hm? Wasn’t she already dead in your heart a long time ago?”

Shao Cixin: “?”

Wen Zhihan was so meticulous.

So Shao Cixin turned to the other side and quickly drew and sheathed her sword again.

She said, “Okay.”

Wen Zhihan: “?”

Shao Cixin explained, “This time, she is also dead in your heart.”

After saying this, she nodded her head coldly as if to show her satisfaction with her superb yet nonexistent swordsmanship.

Wen Zhihan’s mood finally lifted.

She smiled and pulled Shao Cixin into her arms, stroking her hair with love.

She really didn’t know how much nonsense was going on in this head.

Shao Cixin felt relieved when she saw Wen Zhihan smile.

It was good to smile. Wen Zhihan needed to smile more like this, happy and without any worries.

But Shao Cixin still wanted to ask.

“What happened with Wen Yu?”

“She did some stupid things that made people unhappy,” Wen Zhihan said while still hugging Shao Cixin.

“Then you have to get used to it.”

“Why?”

“Because she does stupid things all the time. We have to get used to it, so we don’t get angry because of her. Otherwise, we will hurt ourselves!”

“…It makes sense.”

Wen Zhihan didn’t refute Shao Cixin.

So what if they were talking about her sister?

There had never been a day where they were normal sisters.

This was probably fate. Some people were just born different and would never get along with each other in their lifetime.

Wen Zhihan kept stroking Shao Cixin’s long hair, her eyes dark and unfathomable.

It was one thing to not get along.

But it was another thing to deal with this matter.

Wen Zhihan decided to go back and have a chat with Wen Xingyun and the rest of her family.

—It was only natural for an older sister to take care of her younger sister, and it was time for her parents to let go.

It was a sunny and windy morning.

Shao Cixin got up, took a shower, and went out to take her acting classes,

The person responsible for picking her up in the morning was her driver, Uncle Ming.

In the car, she asked Rong Ya for a two-day vacation so that she could accompany Wen Zhihan home for the duration they discussed.

After Rong Ya replied “Okay,” Shao Cixin turned her attention to Weibo.

Her main reason for doing so was to check the public’s reception of “Wengu Zhixin.”

After returning home yesterday, she hadn’t had the time to watch a replay of the live broadcast.

Moreover, Rong Ya and Lin Mumu didn’t send any messages saying it was not good, so she wasn’t in a hurry to watch it.

She went on a private account, entered a few keywords, and took a look.

Everyone gave a hundred percent affirmation to their appearance on the livestream.

The affection they showed for each other attracted many new CP fans.

Many people also posted screenshots of yesterday on Weibo, exclaiming enthusiastically, “I took[2] it, it’s too sweet.”

[@RedFlameCrazyDragon]: The look in President Wen’s eyes, it’s love!

[@Stop Crying, San’er]: Look at President Wen’s eyes. There’s nothing she can do about it. Xin Xin is too cute, I also like her [dial: call]

[@Rest in Peace Liu’er]: I could drown in the way they looked at each other every time. Married CPs are good and sweet!

[@TheCookWhoBearsABloodFeud]: It sure is difficult for the two of them to end up not getting married. Oh wait, they’re already married. Take my blessings and grow old together!

Shao Cixin’s mood became very bright when she saw these comments.

Everyone thought she was a perfect match for Wen Zhihan, and the onlookers were all blessing their union. How could such a thing make her unhappy?

But when she thought about it again, the corners of her mouth fell.

She too wished that they could become a real couple and grow old together, year after year.

She even wished that she was the only one in Wen Zhihan’s eyes.

But the truth was far less sweet than it appeared, and only she and Wen Zhihan knew what lay behind their facade.

Shao Cixin had to admit that Wen Zhihan’s acting skills were indeed very good.

No wonder people say “you get what you paid for.” The production team spent so much money on their guests, and their investment was not in vain.

In addition, Wen Zhihan was inherently a gentle person. Everyone could see it.

Leaning her head back on the chair, Shao Cixin sighed softly. She felt a little disappointed.

Yes, Wen Zhihan was probably also so kind to others…

The bright sunlight outside the car window was like a hand gently brushing over her beautiful eyebrows.

Shao Cixin repeatedly wiped her disappointment away until her eyes were filled with hope and she felt motivated once again.

Shao Cixin, don’t be sad. You have a special status in Wen Zhihan’s heart!

When she kisses you and goes to bed with you, she guarantees that you are the only one in her heart—although what she is guaranteeing is an exclusive bed-partner relationship, it can also be called special!

As for whether she is really so gentle with everyone…Can’t you just go to her company and have a look?

So Shao Cixin decided.

She would go to Guanglan in the afternoon to see Wen Zhihan and observe the “President Wen’s” daily work.

After making this decision, Shao Cixin’s eyes relaxed, and she no longer felt sad.

The driver in the front seat could see Shao Cixin’s kaleidoscope of expressions in his rearview mirror, and he couldn’t help but say with concern, “Miss, are you okay? Are you unhappy? Do you need me to inform President Shao?”

Shao Cixin said hurriedly, “No, no. Uncle Ming, you misunderstood. I just feel a little unhappy when I think about having to work.”

Uncle Ming chuckled softly. “If you don’t like work, you can stay at home.”

Shao Heng and Lu Lan cherished their daughter so much that as long as Shao Cixin said she didn’t want to work, Shao Heng would definitely support her for the rest of her life.

This was a real person who could live carefree among a mountain of gold and silver.

Shao Cixin held her chin and looked at the scenery outside.

“It’s not okay if I don’t work.

“People still need to have their own careers to feel at ease.”

She didn’t want to live the same life as she did before her reincarnation, where she was married but had nothing to do at home, and where her only option was to sit and wait for her wife to come back at the end of the day.

Such a life made one feel insecure.

Uncle Ming nodded lightly.

What Shao Cixin said was true. People must still have their own careers to feel at ease.

He was very happy that his family’s young miss had such a progressive consciousness.

At four o’clock in the afternoon, Shao Cixin cheerfully finished work, and Uncle Ming came to pick her up.

After saying goodbye to Rong Ya and Lin Mumu, Shao Cixin turned and opened the door to the backseat.

“Uncle Ming, take me to Guanglan, then you can head back first. Zhihan has a car, so I’ll leave with her later. Sorry for troubling you.”

“No problem, miss.”

After Shao Cixin sat down, Uncle Ming started the car and drove towards Guanglan Investment.

Outside the vehicle, the shadows of trees were gradually receding.

Under the hood, Shao Cixin was composing a message to Wen Zhihan on her phone.

Shao Cixin suddenly felt that her last decision was like a preemptive strike. She should have first sent a message to ask if it was convenient, then decided whether to go to Guanglan…

No, it was Wen Zhihan herself who said she could come anytime she wanted!

Wen Zhihan had already given her tacit approval. Shao Cixin was doing nothing wrong!

[Shao Cixin]: Wen Zhihan, I’m done with work. I’ll go over to you now, and then I’ll have dinner with you after you get off work, okay?

[Shao Cixin]: [Eager.JPG]

Wen Zhihan replied quickly.

[President Wen]: Of course.

[President Wen]: What would Cixin like to eat? I’ll book our reservation first.

Shao Cixin was very satisfied with Wen Zhihan’s reaction, and there was a glimmer of a smile in her eyes.

[Shao Cixin]: I haven’t thought about it yet. I’ll think about it carefully when I get there.

[President Wen]: Okay, tell me when you’re here, and I’ll go down to pick you up.

[Shao Cixin]: Okay!

The conversation stopped there, and no new messages appeared on her screen.

Shao Cixin suddenly looked at Wen Zhihan’s ID on her phone and felt that it was not good.

How could she give such a cold nickname to her beautiful sister whom she liked? No, she must change it!

She thought for a while, then brought her fingers to the screen and changed Wen Zhihan’s ID to something new: [Beautiful Mrs. Shao].

She nodded with satisfaction when she set this new nickname.

She hoped that one day Wen Zhihan would become the real Mrs. Shao.

There were still ten minutes before the car arrived at Guanglan.

Shao Cixin felt a little drowsy and yawned. She said, “Uncle Ming, there is a fork in the road right before the company building. You can inform me when we get there.”

She still needed to send a message to Wen Zhihan in advance to ask her to come down and pick her up…

“In the meantime, I’m going to take a quick nap.”

Uncle Ming nodded and thoughtfully adjusted the temperature in the car.

Ten minutes flew by in a half-asleep, half-awake state.

When Shao Cixin opened her eyes in a daze to Uncle Ming calling her name, she could already see a slightly exposed corner of the Guanglan Building.

—She was almost there.

Shao Cixin rubbed her eyes, set aside the small blanket on her body, and sat up straight.

Light flickered across the forest leaves and suddenly burst into the car.

Shao Cixin was caught off-guard by the sun’s dazzling rays. She twisted and moved to the other end of the back seat.

When she sat back down and looked out of the car window, she unexpectedly spotted two people—

Wen Yu and Tian Jiahe.

Shao Cixin couldn’t help but take a second look.

The two figures stood under the tree at the fork in the road, facing each other as they talked.

Shao Cixin didn’t know what the conversation was about, but the confrontation looked ugly.

When Tian Jiahe touched her hand, Wen Yu even pulled back her arm with a face full of disgust.

Then Shao Cixin lost sight of them.

The car passed by at a high speed, turning the silent quarrel into an unimportant afterthought, leaving it behind in a plume of dust.

Shao Cixin watched the scene recede with slightly raised eyebrows.

Oh?

The couple whose love was so true it could move the world were actually fighting?

The author (so hot that I fainted) has something to say:

Xin Xin: You guys fighting, I’ll remember it. [Notebook.JPG]

[1] In the original text, Shao Cixin actually says ““好了,她已经die了,” using the English word “die.” It might have a similar effect as “Okay, she’s 死了.” While I ultimately didn’t use the latter, I do think it shows a bit more of Shao Cixin’s personality than the smoother all-English translation “Okay, she’s dead,” and so I added it as a footnote, which you are reading now😀.

[2] Refer to chapter 64’s footnote about the term ““磕.”
