Jin Hanshuang went out drinking with her friends.

For the first time in a while, she drank more than usual.

She ended up half-drunk, half-unconscious.

But at least she remembered to call her wife and ask her to come pick her up.

Lu Yunshu arrived.

She came quickly.

Just as fast as the first time she picked up a drunk Jin Hanshuang.

Back then, Lu Yunshu told Jin Hanshuang that whenever she was drunk, she should always call her.

Because she really loved seeing her adorable drunk Hanshuang.

That hadn’t changed.

When she arrived, Jin Hanshuang was waving goodbye to her friends.

Lu Yunshu hugged her back and laughed softly. “Is that why Hanshuang loves me every day?”

Jin Hanshuang said, “Mm.”

She continued, “Yes, that’s why I love you so much every single day.”

She openly confessed, “I love you so much, my Yunshu, my little puppy, my wife~”

“I’m right here,” Lu Yunshu replied with a smile. “I’m right here with you.”

They held each other, swaying gently like two little children.

The little child surnamed Jin asked, “Is Xiao Ba at home?”

The little child surnamed Lu replied, “Yes, she’s waiting for her mama to come back.”

The little child surnamed Jin asked, “What about Xiao Lu?”

The little child surnamed Lu answered, “Xiao Lu is here to pick up her wife.”

“Wow,” Jin Hanshuang said. “Xiao Lu is really good to her wife~”

Hearing this, Lu Yunshu couldn’t help but smile.

She hugged Jin Hanshuang a little tighter, reluctant to let go.

She whispered in Jin Hanshuang’s ear, “How come you’re even cuter when you’re drunk?”

“Do you like it?”

“Yes, I do.”

“Then I’ll keep it up.”

“I love that.”

Lu Yunshu’s adorable wife suddenly said—

“I’m thirsty,”

Lu Yunshu immediately scanned the area.

She spotted a convenience store.

“There’s a shop over there. Let’s go buy some water. Then we’ll go home to see Xiao Ba, okay?”

Jin Hanshuang nodded obediently and followed her wife.

At the entrance of the convenience store, there was a stone bench.

Lu Yunshu helped Jin Hanshuang sit down, then crouched in front of her. “Just sit here quietly. I’ll go in and buy some water, then come right out.”

Jin Hanshuang looked at her. “Okay.”

But just as Lu Yunshu was about to stand up, Jin Hanshuang grabbed her hand.

Lu Yunshu measured the distance from the convenience store to the stone bench. It was only a single parking space’s width.

Her drunk wife had become even more adorable.

Lu Yunshu crouched down again. “How can Hanshuang be this cute, hm? I’m almost reluctant to leave.”

Jin Hanshuang smiled serenely. “Then put me in your pocket and take me with you.”

Lu Yunshu agreed.

She opened her trouser pocket.

This time, Jin Hanshuang didn’t reach out her hand.

Instead, she bent head-first toward Lu Yunshu’s pocket.

Her posture made it look like she needed to get into that pocket today!

Lu Yunshu quickly stopped her and helped her sit upright again.

Jin Hanshuang was really drunk, more drunk than the first time Lu Yunshu took her home. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be doing something like this.

“Be good and wait for me. I’ll be right back out.”

Jin Hanshuang nodded again.

This time, she didn’t pull Lu Yunshu toward her.

She just sat obediently where she was, watching her wife head into the convenience store.

Her eyes followed Lu Yunshu’s movements through the glass door and toward the shelves.

Lu Yunshu’s goal was clear: Grab and go.

She went to the counter to line up and pay.

She turned around to leave.

But as soon as she stepped out of the store, someone called after her.

Jin Hanshuang watched as a young girl ran out of the convenience store and stopped her wife.

Inside the store, two other girls were watching the young girl.

They were probably her friends.

The young girl was smiling shyly at her wife.

She asked her wife for her contact information.

The way she looked at her wife…it was obvious that she liked her.

Well, of course.

Her wife was so beautiful—how could anyone not like her?

She herself liked her very much.

But she felt a little…sour.

Her Yunshu was being flirted with right in front of her.

So rude.

She was sitting right here!

If you’re going to flirt, shouldn’t you at least get her wife’s permission first?!

This was ridiculous, what was she thinking…?

She shouldn’t have drank so much tonight…

Jin Hanshuang’s head started to ache.

She lowered her eyes and rubbed her forehead.

In the meantime, Lu Yunshu had already turned the girl down.

“Sorry, my wife is waiting for me.”

After dropping this line, she turned and walked toward Jin Hanshuang.

“Let’s hurry home and rest, alright?”

Lu Yunshu helped Jin Hanshuang up.

Meanwhile, Jin Hanshuang’s gaze swept past the convenience store.

The girl who had tried to flirt with Lu Yunshu went back inside to see her friends.

They seemed to be comforting her and telling her that it was okay.

Jin Hanshuang’s eyes returned to Lu Yunshu.

Lu Yunshu handed her a bottle of water.

It was already open.

Jin Hanshuang took it and drank two sips.

Her throat already felt much better.

Lu Yunshu took the water from her.

They quietly made their way back to the car.

Lu Yunshu helped Jin Hanshuang fasten her seatbelt.

Jin Hanshuang watched her with bright, enchanting eyes.

Their gazes met.

Lu Yunshu couldn’t resist leaning in to kiss the space between Jin Hanshuang’s brows.

Her gaze lingering, she said tenderly, “Why are you looking at me like that?”

Jin Hanshuang gently stroked her wife’s face and said with a smile, “I saw someone ask you for your contact information…You didn’t give it to her?”

“No.” Lu Yunshu settled into the driver’s seat. “My wife was waiting for me.”

Out of nowhere, Jin Hanshuang asked promptly, “If your wife wasn’t waiting for you, would you have given it to her?”

Lu Yunshu looked at her—then suddenly laughed.

She leaned in again, a smile on her lips.

“Is my wife jealous?”

Her wife was very honest. “Yes, I am.”

Jin Hanshuang continued, “They were so rude.”

“?”

“I was right there. Me, your wife, was sitting right there…How could they flirt with you without your wife’s permission? They should have asked me first…”

Lu Yunshu couldn’t help but laugh.

Of course, they didn’t know she was her wife.

But still, it was so adorable.

This jealous Jin Hanshuang was just too adorable.

Lu Yunshu lifted Jin Hanshuang’s hand and kissed it more than once, her eyes full of love. “If they had asked you…would you have agreed to let them flirt with me?”

“Of course not.”

Then she suddenly shifted her tone. “But…if you liked them…”

Lu Yunshu: “?”

Jin Hanshuang sighed softly. “They’re pretty, cute, and young…

“And me, I’m seven years older than you…”

All at once, she grew melancholy.

Why did she have to be seven years older than her Yunshu?

Round it up, and that was practically ten years!

Ten whole years less that she could spend with Lu Yunshu—far too many!

Now, the alcohol stirred her sadness in waves.

Jin Hanshuang’s eyes turned toward her.

Behind her glasses, Lu Yunshu’s gaze was as dark as ink, as deep as the sea, and filled with love.

Her voice, too, was so soft. A softness that was reserved for Jin Hanshuang.

“I like someone seven years older than me with long wavy hair.”

Hearing this, Jin Hanshuang’s mood lifted quite a bit.

She smiled and asked, “What else?”

Lu Yunshu mirrored her smile and said, “Her surname is Jin, and her full name is Jin Hanshuang.”

Jin Hanshuang’s happiness meter began filling up.

“What else?”

“And she happens to be my nemesis’s stepmother.”

“What else?”

“And she happens to like women.”

“What else?”

“And she happens to be raising a corgi named Xiao Ba at home.”

“What else?”

“And, she is very beautiful.” Lu Yunshu’s features were as gorgeous as a painting. “Very, very beautiful—the most beautiful person I’ve ever laid my eyes on.”

Jin Hanshuang’s happiness meter hit 100%.

“This person sounds a little like me.”

“It is you.” Lu Yunshu kissed her hand. “Jin Hanshuang, you are my destined wife, the one I’ll love for a lifetime.”

Jin Hanshuang’s happiness meter was overflowing.

“That’s great. I’m so happy.”

Seeing the blissful expression on Jin Hanshuang’s face, Lu Yunshu couldn’t help but smile too.

She leaned closer and whispered, “My baby isn’t jealous anymore, right?”

Jin Hanshuang shook her head.  “Not anymore.”

“Then let’s go home and relax, alright?”

“Okay.”

The next morning, Jin Hanshuang woke up with a minor headache.

Her memories of last night were incoherent and hard to piece together.

She vaguely remembered Lu Yunshu buying her water.

Then it seemed like someone had approached Lu Yunshu.

Afterward, in the car, they talked about someone being rude and young and pretty…

What was all that about?

She couldn’t remember clearly, so she let it go.

It probably wasn’t anything important.

Who would talk about something important when they were drunk?

But while she didn’t remember everything, her wife did.

That evening, when Lu Yunshu came home, the two of them talked about the night before.

As they talked, Jin Hanshuang slowly remembered everything.

In her drunken state, she thought it was impolite for the young girl to flirt with her wife in front of her.

She even became jealous of this young girl.

And on top of that, she had a severe moment of anxiety about her age…

“…”

Mortified, Jin Hanshuang covered her face and buried herself in Lu Yunshu’s arms.

Lu Yunshu laughed and hugged her tight.

Xiao Ba also came over and rubbed her head against Jin Hanshuang’s.

Jin Hanshuang said, muffled, “So embarrassing…”

Lu Yunshu asked, “What’s so embarrassing about it?”

Jin Hanshuang said shamefully, “I actually thought the girl was rude and should have asked for my permission first…”

So ridiculous.

How would she even know who Jin Hanshuang was?

That young girl had no idea she was Lu Yunshu’s wife!

Lu Yunshu’s smile deepened. “How is that embarrassing?”

She stroked Jin Hanshuang’s hair. “Our Hanshuang only thought that way. It’s not like you actually walked up to the person and said she was rude. Besides, it is true that she should have gotten your permission.”

Jin Hanshuang looked up.

Lu Yunshu said seriously, “Is there anything wrong with needing my wife’s permission to flirt with me?”

Jin Hanshuang blinked, then smiled. “You’re right. Everything you say is right.”

“And another thing,” Lu Yunshu said, her eyes filled with deep affection, “being seen years older than me makes you the perfect age to be my ‘jiejie.’ Jiejie’s are far more attractive than meimei’s.”

She still remembered what Jin Hanshuang had said the night before.

Jin Hanshuang felt helpless with herself, her smile carrying her feelings on her face. “I was just being drunk and silly. Don’t take what I said seriously.”

Lu Yunshu said, “I take it very seriously.”

She added softly, “I’m afraid that you’re unhappy.”

Lu Yunshu cared, even if it was just Jin Hanshuang’s drunken ramblings.

Their eyes met.

Lu Yunshu’s voice softened. “We still have so many more ‘seven years’ to spend together, don’t we? And besides, I only like jiejie’s. And I only like my jiejie, Jin Hanshuang.”

Jin Hanshuang’s heart melted.

She placed her face into Lu Yunshu’s palm, her gaze tender as water. “You’re right.”

She continued, “I only like meimei’s. I like my meimei, Lu Yunshu.”

Age had never been an obstacle for them.

No matter what happened, Lu Yunshu would always choose her with certainty.

And she would always choose Lu Yunshu just as firmly.

They were each other’s fated lovers.

“Woof!”

Ah, and there was Xiao Ba too.

They picked up Xiao Ba and stroked her little head, smiling at each other.

Xiao Ba was also a fated member of their family.

Because I still haven’t managed to use the plot I prepared for the ending, hehe.
